It is the policy of Guaranty Bank and Trust Co. of Delhi to adhere to all procedures regarding the availability of certain funds deposited into a customer’s account as described by Regulation CC. Certain deposits are afforded same day availability. However, in some cases, the bank may be required to delay the availability of funds beyond the day of deposit. In these cases, the funds will generally be available no later than the second (2nd) business day after the day of deposit. In some other cases, the delay may be as long as seven (7) days. During this delay, the customer may not withdraw the funds in cash or by means of ATM/debit card and the bank will not use the funds to pay checks that the customer has written.
The length of the delay is counted in business days from the day of the deposit. Every day is a business day except Saturdays, Sunday, and federal holidays. If the customer makes a deposit before 4:00 p.m. on a business day that the bank is open, the bank will consider that day to be the day of deposit. However, if the customer makes a deposit after 4:00 p.m. or on a day we are not open, the bank will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open.
We welcome further questions that you may have regarding availability of deposited funds.
